Good afternoon. My name is Tom Brunson, a certified auto mechanic out of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Today I’m going to show you how to change brake pads. The first thing you want to do is to make sure the car is all jacked up and secured nice and easy. Then you’re going to locate your two bolts. Three or four bolts holding your caliper on. Typically just take your two bolts out and make sure you’re going the right way.
After these bolts are out, take your caliper out. The last thing you want to do is let this thing hanging down by itself. Put your brake pads out of the holders nice and easy.
Take your brake pad and set in. Then take your brake caliper. You can find these at any local parts store for under $10. Put the brake caliper in there and just start turning in there. It’ll pull one side in and then the other set of the following suit.
Put your bolts back in it and just make sure you pump up your brake pedal before you move it. It’s as simple as that!
