Good afternoon. My name is Tom Burns, NOFX certified master mechanic from Redding, Pennsylvania. Today I’m going to briefly talk about how long it takes to paint a car. We’re not gonna include all the time. It takes, the extensive time it takes to do to cover all your, your lenses, your windshield wipers, all your glass. Um, the prep time alone is an inexperienced person will take hours to do an experienced person prepping the car, probably take a couple of hours, three, four hours to the properly tape, everything off. But, uh, the unexperienced tech that this painting a vehicle can usually spray it in 45 minutes to an hour, hour and a half. Um, it really is not too much for somebody that does it on a routine basis.
But for an experienced person, the pain of vehicle, I’m an inexperienced person. The pain of vehicle, um, I would say it would probably take you relatively a couple of hours. Um, three most. Um, one thing I don’t recommend doing it if you got this thought in your head is that the, you spray paint it. It’s okay to touch up a small area, but to a paint a whole vehicle with a whole bunch of spray cans, you’ll, you’ll probably use to 30, 40 cans and email. They don’t want to go down that road. Um, that’s about it. I mean, it takes a couple of hours to the, and the painter vehicle. It’s, it’s really not that bad.
